Being a local company – we understand the impact that a storm like Nicole can have, and we are prepared to continue supporting you and your connection if your area was impacted by the storm. During and after storms, our network is closely monitored and we work quickly to restore any impacted customers as soon as possible after the storm passes.

FAQs for Areas Affected by the Storm
Yes, our team is always monitoring the network from our Network Operating Center (NOC). If you are experiencing an outage, our NOC will receive an alert, and our communication team will send you a notification via email.
If you DO NOT have local power restored to your home by your electric utility company, you will not have Blue Stream Fiber services. You should not call for a service call until your local power has been restored. If you have power as a result of using a generator and you do not have active Blue Stream Fiber services, you should not call for a service call until you are off generator and have power to your home.
Temporary fluctuations in your service may occur throughout the storm and restoration period. You may experience brief losses of your services or degradation of picture quality as the power continues to be restored throughout the area. You do NOT need to call in for service.
While Blue Stream Fiber facilities are generally located on the same poles as electric companies, the utilities are sometimes fed from a different power source. There are different “distribution” points along the way. If one of these distribution points does not have local power, your services will not work. We monitor our services for outages and will restore them as soon as power is fully restored in the area. You do not need to call for service.
If you have local power, please reach out. If you DO NOT have local power restored, your services will not work until power is restored.
Blue Stream Fiber monitors our network and can identify areas with outages due to the storm. We will work to quickly restore services after the storm passes and we can safely repair the network.
Our team cannot repair services until it is safe to do so. Downed power lines, flooded roads and areas cut off by government officials could experience a delay in having services restored. We will work quickly to restore services once an area is safe to do so.
